LOVE TILL IT HURTS

"Ate, bahay ka ba, online tayo."  texted my sister who is in the U.S.  So I turned on the computer, set the mic and the webcam and voila...now we're talking!  "How are you, how are the kids ? "  "Mano po " said my two nephews who are still good in Tagalog.  "God bless you !"  "How is NR ?"  NR is my sister's eldest son who is already fifteen years old.  He is very good in class.  His subjects are peanuts to him. Football is his favorite sports and he plays really well. My sister can't asked for more.  That's how I think.  My sister paused for a while and tears fell down on her cheek.  " Don't you know that an officer ran after me the other day while I was driving ?"  I can see my sister's teary eyed look on the webcam, she seemed so troubled and sad.  "The moment I knew it was me he is running after , I stopped right where I am ...I am so scared ! This is my first time being pulled over by an officer." " Give me your license and insurance."  Her violation according to my sister is beating the yellow light .  This time she is already crying.  Her fifteen year old son was with her together with his two other classmates.  " Why do you have to cry, why are you so afraid ?"  asked her son in a loud voice.   " I've never been in this situation before, I'm scared!!!" Then his classmate said " Dude, don't shout at her...she is scared ! "  and lovingly the classmate asked my sister "Are you okay Mrs Austria ?"
When they reached home, my sister narrated the story to her husband and was still crying so hard.  Then she received a text from the mother of the classmate who asked if she is okay. It said "  My son called me in the office and asked me to check on you.  He is so worried that he told me to text you and talk to you.  "  "Are you alright now Mrs Austria ?"  " Yes I am, thank you...thank you so much...you should be proud of your son, he is so kind and compassionate, he is so caring." And then like a little child she cried loud enough that caught his husband's attention. And these is what bothered her...how come my son didn't feel and show me the care that his classmate lovingly extended to me while I am down and scared.  "I thought you were just crying because of the officer running after you,  now it is clear to me - it is our son's lack of concern."  So her husband forwarded the text messages to their son for the purpose of making him realize that his classmate care more for Mrs Austria than he is.  My sister even told me that all throughout their travel time  not a single word came from my nephew's mouth while the classmate keep on calming her.  It hurts when someone you love so much, someone who is very dear to you , showed no concern to you.  I can almost feel how my sister's heart broke apart.  She expected that his son will be the one to show concern but he did the reverse.
But she loves her son so much . She and her husband do everything and anything that will make their son feel the love he needed.  Fortunately, upon reading the texts forwarded to her son , he had come to realize that what he did was wrong and he said sorry for what happened. My sister was so happy then and with a welcome heart she received the apology because to her - a mother should always be there to love till it hurts!!!

YOU ARE HEAVEN SENT

I cannot count how many  books my husband bought since the day I cannot also remember.  What I know is that those books introduced me to OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN.  During my younger years,  it is always my way that matters.  It is what I want, it is what I believe, it is me first.  How self centered I am.  Gradually I learned to take into consideration other people's feelings.  It is no more of  myself but others first. What a great feeling !  My husband always bought a GABAY and DIDACHE for me also.  So this is when I started reading the bible with the help of GABAY and DIDACHE.  Another milestone for me !  What are written in the bible are all true.  Then I started to follow what the bible says.  I based my day to day living in the WORD of GOD.  It is not a world of beautiful roses. but  there are also thorns...sometimes sharp thorns...but these thorns are part of the beautiful roses.  Through my bible reading I started to accept the sharp thorns on the roses.  These are the tribulations and trials that come my way.  But OUR FATHER promise HE will be there, HE will not leave us. And HE is true to HIS promise.  Looking back, there are plenty of thorns but GOD is so AWESOME that HE braced me with HIS LOVE to endure the pain and remain steadfast following HIS word.  HE strengthened me all the way. HIS INFINITE LOVE  is so electrifying...You would not think of getting away from HIM.  You want to be near HIM always.

Now I know why HE gave my husband to me..Rolly showed me the way to HIM.  Those books that he bought are precious bulletins from GOD.  Thank you so much Sweetheart...I cannot imagine a world without you... YOU ARE HEAVEN SENT !!!

Goodbye Ms. Rechie...

"Ninang ko wala pong tao dito sa office, nagpunta po sila kay Ms. Rechie ."  "What happened to her ?" "Nasa Ospital po siya, naka coma." I paused for a moment and said a prayer for her.  Everyone in our office knew Ms. Rechie.  She always has a ready smile for everyone who come to the servicing office to make interment arrangement .  She is so approachable and is always ready to assist you in all your queries.  She is one of the perfect epitome of the SERVICING people - she really serves.

After a few days, Ms. Rechie bid us goodbye...can we call it untimely ?  She just delivered a baby girl through cesarean delivery...she is only 31 years old...she is at the peak of her career...she is a great loss to us...definitely a great loss to her family.  I can still imagine her sweet smile and deep dimples. Her character can lightened a tiring day especially to us who asked assistance from her. I cannot at this moment fathom God's reason for bringing her home to heaven, And  I cannot question HIS infinite wisdom in doing so.  All we need to do is accept that she is home..pray for the eternal repose of her soul and the last but not least is to continue her legacy of being at everyone's service with open arms and a winning smile. Goodbye Ms. Rechie , we love you and we will miss you !!!
